Tyonek Aviation Services is the only 8(a) Alaskan Native Company that has the diversification of platform experience, (F/A-18 Hornet, EA-6B Prowler, P-3 Orion, H-60 Seahawk, etc) as well as maintenance capabilities on all associated power plants, sub-assemblies and components. We also offer a unique contract vehicle, which allows our customers to streamline the contract process and expedite the time in which Tyonek can man the contract, with significant savings to the government.

We hire aviation maintenance experts from all Navy Enlisted Aviation Ratings (AD/AM/AME/AE/AT/AZ), USMC Military Occupational Specialties (MOS’s 60XX, 61XX, 62XX, 63XX, 64XX) Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSC’s) as well as full array of civilian FAA certified and A&P certified mechanics and technicians.

Tyonek Aviation Services experience and capabilities include:

  • •• Organizational Maintenance: Squadron level upkeep maintenance on aircraft and equipment. Phase and Special inspections. Servicing, lubrication, corrosion control and aircraft painting applications. Removal and replacement of parts and components. Systems operations rigging and troubleshooting.
  • •• Aircraft Flight Line Operations: Daily, Turn-Around, Pre & Post flight inspections and servicing. Launch and Recovery operations. Execution of Squadron Flight Schedules. Plane Captain and Aircraft Handlers training and certification. Aircraft Fueling and De-fueling Operations. Hazardous Material control and Aircraft Wash facilities.
  • •• Intermediate Maintenance: Off equipment material support. Component disassembly, assembly. Calibration, repair, test bench operation. Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI), aviation welding and 2M repair. Emergency manufacturing of non-available parts.
  • •• Depot Maintenance: Rework, major overhaul and rebuilding of parts, assemblies and aircraft. Disassembly, repair and assembly of aircraft engines. Modification, testing, inspecting and reclamation of aircraft and components. Incorporation of Technical Directives (TD’s). Fuel cell repair, installation of parts kits, Gas Free Engineering services.
